Mulga Parrot ♂

The mulga parrot (Psephotellus varius) is found across the arid and semi-arid woodlands & scrublands of southern inland Australia. The species is dimorphic, the female is dull brownish green on the head and chest, with a red patch on the head and (sometimes) shoulders and a green belly and rump.
