The mulga parrot (Psephotellus varius) is found across the arid and semi-arid woodlands & scrublands of southern inland Australia. The species is dimorphic, the female is dull brownish green on the head and chest, with a red patch on the head and (sometimes) shoulders and a green belly and rump.

Putting modesty aside, I think this photo shows how much I wanted to visit Gluepot.
They have a few hides set up there, and we visited four of them. Despite their orientation not being ideal in terms of lighting, the photography experience is overwhelming due to the sheer number of opportunities. Sometimes the challenge is separating the birds from one another, as they all compete fiercely to reach the water
