I disturbed my new friend at lunchtime. Quietly munching lunch but was interested in the passer by.

Not a fan of these grey squirrels, but this one munching on the Willow buds was worth a shot. A bit different to usual nuts etc

Two furry friends

Friday afternoon, overcast and chilly, and these two squirrels are munching happily on the fallen seeds from the bird feeder above. These animals are frequent visitors in the winter months. The feeders are filled daily at the Upper Canada Migratory Bird Sanctuary.

Young Mule Deer Doe

Another ungulate in this series.

This young mule deer was grazing near the road in Rocky Mountain National Park. Its mom was nearby. As with a lot of the wildlife in the park, they were not concerned about a car stopping nearby and a weird apparatus poking out the window making clicking noises.

Grazin' In The Grass, Can You Dig It

These Canadian geese, (Branta canadensis), are often seen munching in the low areas. I took this picture on August 5, 2024, at 3:55 p.m.

Telephone wildlife

This guy was letting us so close that I couldn't use the 'bazooka' (I only had the 500mm zoom on my 'proper' camera). Such situations are what the phones are made for ;)

This little Cross Fox kit is sniffing the pod of seeds thinking about munching them. They are called Cross Fox (variant of Red Fox) due to the dark cross on their back. It rubs down the back pad across the shoulders.
