Queso Beans (muted calico) has taken over Kiwi Fruit’s (lynx point) favorite daytime sleeping spot… the 1994 MLB baseball comforter we thrifted last year. After I laundered it I laid it on the bed with the sheets/pillow cases/bed skirt, fully intent to move it to the project pile to deconstruct and make a summer time baseball set to wear. Kiwi promptly claimed it and it has been a staple of the “end of bed” bed making routine ever since. Today I sat it down in the wrong spot and Queso took that as her cue to steal home.

Oh, my sweet & goofy Dracula. My husband of the night. The LongBoi cats (Kevin and Dr Thomas Noodles MD) cats stole my desk chair up in the office so I went to work downstairs and Dracula came with me. Of course the Calico Ladies of Pittsburgh (Queso Beans & Ravioli A Beans) came to join us. Also we’re slowly dismantling our Chaos Castle for staging it to sell and every day it’s a little weirder to see it so naked.

Queso Beans wanted to do a photo shoot while she rolled around on her favorite (and torn to shreds ottoman). Just look beautiful and dare I say majestic. My sweet Bean.

I did the sheets in the laundry today, folded them neatly, and placed them on top of the folded duvet. Kachina normally sleeps on the duvet and didn't approve of the new arrangement. I went out for a couple of hours, came back ready to make the bed, and discovered that the little brute had pushed the sheets off the duvet and had curled up on it. She is so contented, I couldn't muster the meanness to make her move.

You shouldn't have thrown it on the bed, then, should you? It's warm and it's comfortable and it's mine, now.

Kachina is perfectly comfortable atop the blankets. Why should she get up so I can make my bed?
