The finished article of the Rosette Nebula started in SHO Hubble Pallete and blended with RGB data for a unique look as per some of the recent projects I've been doing.
This is a wonderful jewel of a target sitting invisible to most people in the night sky, presented in the colourful SHO Hubble Pallette as it's strong in all three bandpasses. I've been wanting to image this every winter for the past 3-4 years but always had attention elsewhere, this season I was determined to capture it. Presented here starless, as I'm not done with this target yet...
over 40 hours of data, and over 12 hours of processing time. My largest project to date.
Here Judith is doing a self portrait of herself painting. It was rare to have high quality female painters at this time.

IC 1805 es parte de un gran complejo de nebulosidad débil se encuentra en Cassiopeia.
Derivado de su forma, que es conocida como la Nebulosa del corazón.
La parte muy brillante de la nebulosa del corazón se clasifica por separado como NGC 896, y fue la primera parte de esta nebulosa de ser descubierto.
IC 1805 se encuentra a unos 7.500 años luz de distancia, en el brazo de Perseo de la Galaxia. El cúmulo abierto Melotte 15 se encuentra en el centro de IC 1805.

IC 1805 is part of a large complex of weak nebulosity found in Cassiopeia.
Derived from its shape, which is known as the Heart Nebula.
The very bright part of the Heart Nebula is classified separately as NGC 896, and was the first part of this nebula to be discovered.
IC 1805 is located about 7,500 light years away, in the Perseus arm of the Galaxy. The open cluster Melotte 15 is located in the center of IC 1805.
