Red-rumped Parrots have adapted well to urban environments, frequently visiting city landscapes to forage for grass seeds. This affinity for grass seeds has earned them the colloquial name Grass Parrots.
However, despite their ability to thrive in urban areas, Red-rumped Parrot populations are facing a decline due to the destruction of their natural habitats & a scarcity of suitable breeding hollows.
