I fancied a sit down....

Nettles and fallen leaves that I could have disturbed but took a photo instead....I have some interesting facts to add about this place but copied and pasted them in notes on ipad. I can get Flickr on PC but only Bad Panda on iPad. I am even further behind because got Bad Panda last evening. Had no idea it could affect one device but not another..
Bad Panda just fixed :)
Urtica is a genus of flowering plants in the family Urticaceae. Many species have stinging hairs and may be called nettles or stinging nettles. The generic name Urtica derives from the Latin for 'sting'. Due to the stinging hairs, Urtica are rarely eaten by herbivores, but provide shelter for insects.
Hubbard's Hills is a glacial overspill channel formed as the last ice age ended about 40,000 years ago. A marginal lake of meltwater trapped between glacial ice sheet and the Lincolnshire Wolds poured over a chalk ridge and gouged a 125-foot-deep (38 m), steep-sided valley. The river Lud, far too small to create such a valley, now meanders through it.

Jellyfish, #2

The Monterey Bay in central California, where this photo was taken, is home to a vast array of incredibly beautiful sea animals called jellyfish (also known as "jellies" or "sea jellies"). The bodies of these seemingly helpless quivering blobs are composed of at least 95% water. Unlike fish or crab, they are not capable of holding their shape when taken from the water. True 'jellies' are cnidarians....relatives of corals and anemones. The central area of their body consists of a digestive cavity which connects to the outside by a mouth. All cnidarians are endowed with 'nemotocysts' which are microscopic stinging and sticky structures used primarily for prey capture.
