Clivia miniata 'San Marcos Yellow' —yellow clivia. Yellow clivias from South Africa have been known to breeders since the late 1880s, but they were incredibly difficult to grow until the 1980s when San Marcos Growers in Southern California developed a cultivar, the seed strain of which is know as 'San Marcos Yellow.' The yellow clivia is no longer rare but still uncommon in gardens. Photographed at Berkeley Horticultural Nursery in Berkeley, CA.
