The first day in Germany, following the trip to Hungary did not quite work out the way we planned. We were supposed to meet Michael's friends in Heidelberg but we started off in the wrong direction for the train station, got soaked in the rain and never got to meet his friends. After the not so spectacular start though we ended up having a great day in Stuttgart - had coffee and cake for breakfast at a bakery (where I saw a man who must have been a visitor from the countryside, whom I badly wanted to capture but did not dare ask if I could take his photo so I only have his mental image recorded), discovered the downtown area, found a fun Saturday flea market (where we got a cute little brass candle holder for 1 Euro and met a dog called Dixon and his friendly owner), went to the market where we bought a bottle of Hungarian wine for the evening, took a silly booth picture, sat among Germans in the sunny grass in front of the palace, checked out some more bookstores and ended the day in Töpferstraße - a pedestrian only street lined with outdoor seating restaurants and had a typical Swabian dinner with tasty German beer.

O resultado inesperado sustenta o ânimo do ceramista, que pratica uma arte árdua e cheia de limites, onde o barro tem lá suas vontades e o fogo se comporta de inúmeras maneiras. Mas, o artifice consente. Esse esperar dá sentido a cada fase do trabalho. As formas simples da modelagem em tôrno elétrico, beneficiaram os efeitos do vidrado nessa peça, em argila stoneware. Este é um esmalte macrocristalino, com queima em alta temperatura num forno a gás.
