X-COAL - State Line

Hard to believe it's been almost 4 years since shooting this, but here is X-COAL/X-BFSI (not that it matters) crossing into PA from New York with BPRR 2001 in the lead. The 2001 would be dropped in Bradford and 458 would lead the rest of the way south.

April in Pennsylvania...

Having an unusually cold month of April in Pennsylvania, parts of the Keystone State were still seeing snow on the ground well into the month. Such was the case here as XBFSI/XCOAL heads south, just below Mt. Jewett, Pa. The ex-BR&P/B&O is still home to some of the last active B&O CPLs in existence.

Lewis Run

After dropping the 2001 at Bradford, XCOAL continues south, climbing the grade at Lewis Run. Perfect weather conditions allowed for some absolutely beautiful backdrops for shots south of Bradford.
