New to the United Transport "Zippy" operation in Preston, which mirrored the similar and perhaps more famous Bee Line venture in Manchester. Upon takeover by Ribble, the Zippy name was retained in certain instances, right through to Stagecoach days, with some examples even bearing white-and-stripe.
Number 045 is of course running out of Bolton garage in this view.

Gateway Technical College Digital Photography Unit 1 Contract
The first image I took on the Canon EOS Rebel T8i, right after I had gotten back home with it. Zippy was sunbathing like she loves to do, so I used her for some test photos to learn the camera functions. This was the first one I took.
I zoomed in with the longest lens I had and rested it on my couch so as not to wake her up. I then used my iPad to remotely adjust the exposure settings and take the picture so I wouldn't cause unnecessary movement through pressing the camera's buttons.

KELVIN CENTRAL BUSES
1093 (D409FRV), is a Fiat 49.10 with Robin Hood B19F, body.
New in April, 1987, to United Transport, who operated as Zippy. They commenced service in Lancashire & Greater Manchester after deregulation.
This venture was not a great success and was sold to Ribble, Preston, around a year later. Ribble sold this small bus to KCB in 1993.
