An impressive in its dimensions art object! This is the largest mosquito in the world.
The length of the "Onega Mosquito" is 8.9 meters, the width is 7.65 meters, and the height is 5.4 meters. The weight of the iron structure is 6 tons.
Installed in the Petrovskaya Sloboda microdistrict. Made from a real (abandoned and ownerless) skidder TDT-40, which were previously produced by the OTZ located at this place.
The author of the project is the Petrozavodsk artist and designer Vladimir Zorin. The monument was created entirely at the expense of private funds.
