Adult male Peregrine Falcon, Brian, and adult female, Louise observed both sitting up on the north side of the Iconic Energy Building in downtown Rockford, Illinois. Winter 2024.. After a while Brian flew over to where Louise was sitting and began to mate with her.

Phare d'Eckmühl - FRANCE - Bretagne
Le phare d'Eckmühl est un phare maritime situé sur la pointe de Saint-Pierre, à Penmarc'h (tête de cheval en breton - ce nom vient du découpage de la côte qui prend quelque peu cette forme) dans le Finistère en France. Il mesure plus de 60 mètres de haut et a été inauguré le 17 octobre 1897. ILdoit son nom au titre de noblesse de la donatrice Adélaïde-Louise d'Eckmühl de Blocqueville.
Ce phare devra se nommer « Phare d'Eckmühl » en l'honneur de son père le maréchal Louis-Nicolas Davout, duc d'Auerstaedt, prince d'Eckmühl. Ce titre de noblesse vient de la bataille d'Eckmühl qu'il avait menée à proximité du village d'Eggmühl en Bavière. La marquise veut que ce nom de triste mémoire soit racheté par les vies sauvées grâce à un phare. Ainsi dans son testament dit-elle :
« Les larmes versées par la fatalité des guerres, que je redoute et déteste plus que jamais, seront ainsi rachetées par les vies sauvées de la tempête. »

Millions of grains of sand were painstakingly laid into place on a flat platform over a period of 4 days. The sand-painted mandala is used as a tool for re-consecrating the earth and its inhabitants. Traditionally most sand mandalas are deconstructed shortly after their completion as a metaphor of the impermanence of life. The sands are swept up and placed in an urn; to fulfill the function of healing, half is distributed to the audience at the closing ceremony, while the remainder is carried to a nearby body of water, where it is deposited - this one to the San Miguel River. The waters then carry the healing blessing to the ocean, and from there it spreads throughout the world for planetary healing.
This is a Buddha Akshobya Mandala, which is normally done in times of pandemic, war, conflicts and natural disasters to give one the strength and resilience to overcome whatever we may face from such events. I really hope the monks have some influence over the universe ....
