Took the new-to-me Oly 40-150/2.8 to Nagasaki to get acquainted with the lens. Here are some of the most interesting shots. I specifically wanted to see how well the f2.8 would perform at night, as I already knew it was fantastic in good lighting contexts. As you can see—it did pretty well. Some noise correction with Topaz where needed, but made sure it wasn’t excessive. Mounted e-m5 mkiii.

Spent a couple of hours on Lunga off the western coast of Scotland with these puffins. It’s great to be able to watch their behaviour up close and uninterrupted.
i watched goslings for minutes today. i thought a video would show all their cuteness best.
