Le maitre-autel et grand retable sont l'œuvre de François-Armand Fréret. Il réalise l'ensemble en 1809. Le tableau est retiré deux ans plus tard.
Le retable présente le Baptême du Christ par saint Jean-Baptiste, éclairé en clair-obscur par la lumière naturelle provenant de l'extérieur du mur du chevet par une cheminée couverte d'une vitre à demi-inclinée vers l'est. La sculpture est encadrée par une moulure de feuille de chêne.
Deux statues d'anges adorateurs en chêne veillent le tabernacle, daté de 1815. La porte représente le sacrifice d’Isaac par Abraham. Il est orné de deux hauts palmiers de sept pieds et d'une couronne de roses.
The high altar and large altarpiece are the work of François-Armand Fréret. He completed the whole in 1809. The painting was removed two years later.
The altarpiece presents the Baptism of Christ by Saint John the Baptist, lit in chiaroscuro by natural light coming from outside the bedside wall through a fireplace covered with a half-inclined window towards the east. The sculpture is framed by an oak leaf molding.
Two oak statues of worshiping angels watch over the tabernacle, dated 1815. The door represents the sacrifice of Isaac by Abraham. It is decorated with two seven-foot tall palm trees and a wreath of roses.
