Frank Woodward was the director of the documentary, "Bob Gurr: Living By Design." He was also one of the producers. Frank had the daunting task of hunting down everything he could find that Bob Gurr had designed, both for Disney and afterwards. He knew Gurr had designed the fire-breathing dragon for the Conan the Barbarian Show at Universal Studios, but it was hard to find good quality stuff that was high resolution. Then he found three of my photos here on Flickr. He got in touch with me, and we met for coffee and talked, I gave him a disk that six of the images I had taken, all redone on Lightroom and all TIFF files, for maximum quality. I'll post those soon, in JPEG form.
Our meeting took place a year ago. It was a long, hard journey for Frank and his fellow producers and production team, but it paid off. I hope it plays in theaters, or at least gets a streaming release.
I don't know who the woman is posing next to Frank. I only saw this as an opportunity to get a shot of Frank when he wasn't surrounded by other people.
