Ruby and Vivien went to Italy in 2018 - Ruby got in quite a muddle deciding what to pack because it was late Winter / early Spring and - would it be warm or cold ...
It was mostly cold - it even snowed while we were in Naples. Snow on palm trees doesn't look right.
Audrey & Kamala are sorting out what to wear - they are both still in Summer dresses because I'm a bad Dolly Mother.
Sofonz is confused by all the clothes - and all the different fashions (she has time-travelled from 1894 and there is much to catch up on) Kamala is telling her not to worry - just ask ...
Audrey is trying to choose between her pink 'Jackie Kennedy' suit & the black dress with the flowers on it.
I keep all their clothes sorted into boxes ...

Ed: Sorting clothes was the secondary prompt - I didn't have time to do the washing photo I was planning - but I have been sorting out all my photos here on Flickr - and I just love the photo I've collaged below. Sorrento, Italy 2016 - I was too polite to snap the lady as she pegged out her washing - but she did so with obvious pride! Why not, when those undies are such a snowy white! and I was wondering if her name was Carolina !
Kamala: "Wow - is this really 100 dresses?"
Lillian: "Yes, I counted them twice. We included the evening dresses but not the costumes or separates or the clothes everyone is wearing right now."
Kamala: "Are these all our size?"
Lillian: "These are all Neo size. Have you seen this one - I think it would suit you."
Bunny: "It's very pink !"

Ed: There are several things I do in an attempt to earn a bit of money from my crafts. I knit & crochet commissions and I do a window display at my local yarn shop. The window dressing involves knitting and crocheting things for some 12"tall wooden artists' mannequins - and putting them in the window doing things - usually topical / seasonally appropriate things.
Some of the commissions go well and are 'happy', others are less happy - one recent commission was for a lot of crochet 'coral' (fake Great Barrier Reef) - it was not a happy commission and (so far) no payment !
To make myself feel better about it all, I'm going to make more 'coral' and other things (fish etc) and put together a window display ... Am knitting the mannequins some 'wet-suits' but didn't fancy trying to make their scuba gear ...
So I went on-line and bought some cheap sets of scuba gear meant for Barbie type dolls - it's all in glittery purple plastic but I can paint that. While I was there - buying cheap plastic stuff from China I thought I'd get some clothes for Allan and then I saw some Blythe dresses on sale ...
The clothes aren't too bad - for the price they are quite well sewn. And now I feel guilty because the price was so cheap - I hate to think how little the people (women) who make these dolls' clothes are paid.

Girls got a new and rather large wardrobe today -
a sweet homemade - possibly by a fond grandfather - for Sarah Hicks in 1984 (it's been 'signed')
The girls got a new (2nd hand) wardrobe this morning - and Audrey immediately set about filling it.
Wardrobe is a rather sweet homemade one, and came with the blue shoe organiser.
These girls need little prompting to Wear Red! Indeed for 3 of them, 'red' is in their stock name - so it's in their DNA, so to speak.
Edina: "What a nice velvet dress - could I borrow it?
Maddie: "Yes, of course you can."
Edina and Maddie are bonding over their clothes ... ...
