this was a Scottish coacbuilding firm founded in the late 50s that turned to making fire engines in around 1970. They expanded in the late 1970s with the help of government development money. They closed in the early 1990s.
They were responsible for a number of innovations like the Fire Witch and Fire Warrior. One characteristic of F&W machine was the corrugated metal look in the section about the side lockers.
