A cold March night in 2023. The city buzzing below. I stood on the Manhattan Bridge pedestrian walkway, waiting for the perfect moment. I wanted a clean, sharp shot of the New York City skyline at blue hour, where the deepening sky meets the glow of the city.
This was the best spot on the bridge for me. Less vibration, sharper results. My setup: Nikon D800, Sigma 24-70mm f/2.8 lens, shot at 24mm, ISO 100, f/11, 25-second exposure. The long exposure smoothed the East River, stretched the FDR Drive light trails, and enhanced the contrast between the cool sky and warm city lights.
This is New York at its bestβfast, bright, and full of life.
