Looking northwest on Hammersmith Broadway towards the junction with Shepherd's Bush Road (formerly Brook Green Road and before that, Brookgreen Lane).
In the top photo we see The George public house on the left with Broadway Congregational Church behind it. On the right stands Hammersmith Vestry Hall.
The bottom photo shows Broadway Chambers, built in 1925, now stands next to the public house. Hammersmith Vestry Hall was demolished in 1965.

The George Hotel is a 17th Century townhouse enjoying a spectacular location nestling on the water’s edge between the castle and pier in the harbour town of Yarmouth on the Isle of Wight.
This magnificent building is steeped in history and was once home to the most noteworthy of the Island’s Governors, Sir Robert Holmes who often entertained King Charles II.
It has a stunning Italian-inspired beachfront garden, with historic olive trees and driftwood clad beach bar.
