Vintage image of two leg art pin-ups lifting their skirts outside of the entrance to a mine. This found photograph is from the private collection of an unknown and/or unknowing art collector. It’s always a thrill when it’s from Vinnie DeVille!

Vintage May 1954 issue of men’s girlie cheesecake pin-up magazine, Peep Show. Unlike pseudo-intellectual nudie magazines like Playboy, magazines such as this one claimed no such illusion. Their primary purpose was erotic imagery and in the publishing industry were considered nothing more than “rags”. It’s always a thrill when it’s from Vinnie DeVille!
Vintage Spring 1958 issue of men’s girlie cheesecake pin-up magazine, Fiesta. Unlike pseudo-intellectual nudie magazines like Playboy, magazines such as this one claimed no such illusion. Their primary purpose was erotic imagery and in the publishing industry were considered nothing more than “rags”. It’s always a thrill when it’s from Vinnie DeVille!
Vintage image of two beautiful ebony cigarette girls working at a Florida Club. I know this image is from Florida but I have no information on the locale. There is a poster for B.B. King on the wall but I do not know if it is decoration or for an appearance at this venue. This found photograph is from the private collection of an unknown and/or unknowing art collector. It’s always a thrill when it’s from Vinnie DeVille!
Vintage image of burlesque dancer and stripper White Fury. Photo credit to Gene Laverne of Buffalo, NY. These photos would usually be placed outside theaters to “bait” prospective customers. I am sure the mention of twin 44 cannons drew some people in. This found photograph is from the private collection of an unknown and/or unknowing art collector. It’s always a thrill when it’s from Vinnie DeVille!
Vintage 1950s issue (no date) of Pulsating Beauty - a pseudo Art and Photography Magazine. Magazines such as this one claimed to be published for artistic purposes to avoid censorship issues. Issue is devoted to several models in various stage of dress and undress. In reality these were basically just girlie, cheesecake, pin-up and nudie rags. I was an art student in the 1960s and have seen more than my share of these publications. Popular in their time - just not by artists, sculptors and photographers. It’s always a thrill when it’s from Vinnie DeVille!
