When we arrived at the Arboretum in the afternoon last Sunday it was pouring rain… After a while the sun come out. These two Japanese acers (Acer amoenum) with variable efforts of not looking naked were basking in the sun and with lovely contrast in colour and texture. Now, another type of waiting game was not to get too many passers-by in the frame. At one moment, a 3-4 years-old kid stopped and looked at these splendid acers for a good minute (what seems to be an eternity for this age) with the father behind the frame. He might well be puzzled by something more trivial like why I cannot see any sticks on the ground, but it didn’t really matter, CLICK.
