The first of the pair of Wright-bodied B7Ls bought by McGill's in 2007 alongisde unique Hispano 2228, ex-Whitelaws/Arriva Fox County 2226 picks up on Renfield St with a Spateston-bound 38 on Leap Day 2016. I never managed to catch 2227 (SA02 CDF), as that had proven the most elusive and was the first of the 3 B7Ls to be put out to pasture.

This is an old favourite, but I thought I'd air it out before putting some newer images up.
Unique to the UK, McGill's Hispano/B7L 2228 calls at Partick Interchange with a evening 17 to Paisley in early September 2015
One of only 3 B7Ls McGill's operated, ex-demostrator 2228 was the only rigid right-hand drive Hispano Habit in the UK. It had previously spent time during it's demo years on trial with First Glasgow in 2005, who had a large B7L fleet (one of the largest both within First UK Bus and in the UK generally) at that time.
There was also a B7LA demo (FJ53 LZX) with this body, named the Carrocera in artic form, which spent time on a ultimately unsucessful trial with Lothian at the same time FiG were running OVZ before ending up at Manchester Airport as a shuttle vehicle.
As for OVZ, it spent time with Arriva Midlands on their Skylink service linking Leicester and East Midlands Airport as their 3615 before being bought by McGill's alongside Eclipses SA02 CCV/CDF (also ex-Arriva) in 2007 (as this was pre-Arriva Scotland West takeover, they were numbered 226-228). McGill's would later standardize on the B7RLE for their later pre-owned single-deck Volvo purchases, leaving the 3 B7Ls as outliers. 2228 would go on to outlast both of the Eclipse B7Ls in service, being withdrawn by the start of 2019

Having taken the dawn train from South Wales to London, I was scampering along Tottenham Court Road towards Euston Railway Station for the second leg of my journey. Since I was going hiking and camping for a few days, my backpack was rather large and heavy. I only had a brief moment to catch this shot but the sight of our Prime Minister sat on a toilet forced me to slow down and take a couple of shots. Three months later, and beset with scandal, he was obliged to resign.
