Prairie Theatre, 208 North Spruce Street, Ogallala, Nebraska. The Prairie Theater was built by A. F. Kehr & Son for a cost of $85,000. It opened on January 13, 1936 with Warner Baxter in “King of Burlesque”. It was a 550-seat single screen theater until May 1979, when it was twinned with seating for 225 and 175.
