Final outside. A lot of that rust is real - forced using hydrogen peroxide, vinegar and salt.
This shows the reference image from the game and the original lunch box and latch hardware along with the initial latch weathering and lunch box paint.
The image used for the insert used to hold the Jet. It was built in Photoshop from some stock first aid info that I heavily edited to make it more fun. The Vault Boy image was from the Fallout Wiki (I think),
I had it printed on transparency reversed so that the printing was on the underside. Then it was glued to some styrene.
Inside with some Fallout product props I had made previously.
I made a tray of sorts out of foam core covered in gauze and dirtied up.
It's held in by several magnets on the back. I punched holes in the styrene backing and elastic strips and used Chicago screws (they're easy to use and I had the right size.)
