The beautiful male stonechat (Saxicola rubicola), from another time visiting the island I'm from.
I met a couple of them today as well, while being out to enjoy the sunshine and look for some other rare birds together with my mum, before I had to leave.
Only a few stonechat couples breed in Norway, so it's nice that there are several of them on Bømlo.
We also found the beautiful little grebe today, and my first common grasshopper warbler. What a cool bird! (Dvergdykker og gresshoppesanger, in Norwegian.)
I'm glad I took the time to enjoy two lovely and relaxing days together with my parents in the sunshine, and also surprised my good friend on her 40th birthday yesterday.
I look forward to go back for a longer time during summer, since I didn't have the time at all last summer.
(Svartstrupe hann, in Norwegian)
My album of birds here.
