The Flickr Nauticallyminded Image Generatr

This is one of the 124 of 148 picture that Flickr's servers "Ate" for reasons unknown in spring 2023. It took Flickr 3 days and 6 people to get them all back, but the stories with them..my journals and thoughts...were gone forever...

All I have is these pictures to try to remember it all...

I miss my friend Meghan...I miss being on the water with her...just drifting... we were friends and no one ever believed that...

Now she is gone and all I can remember from this lovely image of her and I is her racing down a dock yelling "BOAT! BOAT! BOAT!" as she insisted on buying me one...

I miss my friend so much. I hate those who got jealous of something that never was...so wrecked what was there...

I miss you Megs...very much...

I have DJ'd in Second Life for over a decade.

Am I good? Yes.

Am I great? *shrugs* Maybe?

People like what I play and I play what I like and I AM one of FUNNEST DJs on the grid.

I know there are a lot of DJ's out there who are much more skilled then I, who DO blow people's minds musically. Second Life is an AMAZING treasure trove of talent and opportunity for them to light audio fires in.

Tonight I took an aspiring one sailing...

I love to explore the Blake in one of my floaty boatys and let loose, with musica always going and tonight the lovely Asaria Obscure graced me with her personal stream for THREE WHOLE HOURS!!!

She hadn't spun "on the fly" for anyone before tonight and I had thought her MixCloud was amazing, as it is...but LIVE?!?!

I was BLESSED y'all!

Lawd peeps... let me tell you wut, the 411:

I have been lucky to have been around some amazing names in SL in the DJ world who just suddenly sparked and rocket off bright like fireworks, being lifted quickly by clubs, festivals through their talent and hard work. I can count on one hand how many though over the last decade.

Good thing I have another hand as there will be one more number to count soon...

DJ Asaria Obscure played right through my soul last night. She worked her butt off even though it was just us and I haven't LITERALLY shaked it like that since *smiles*...well... awhile :-)

The icing on the cake is she is an AMAZING PERSON as well and when I anchored so we could just float as she played? We got to talk. :-)

I like this girl a lot.

I am glad she is my friend.

When she is ready for it, watch out Grid as "MOVE!" will be making a special club dance just for HER once she let's loose I SWEAR!

Ms Asaria? When YOU are ready, YOU are going places and all of them UP!

I will help you light those rocket engines as much as I can for good music should always be shared and shared often.

Thank you for letting me go along for the ride with you tonight. I feel honoured and blessed for it. I hope the rest of the Grid will feel that way soon too.

This is one of the 124 of 148 pictures Flickr's servers ate last spring for unknown reasons. Flicker spent three days using 6 people to find all my lost pics, but the text, music links except were all gone...

My memory is problematic due to RL mental health trauma. Posting my experiences and feelings on Flickr was a good way for me to document and remember how I was feeling then. Now I have no context for many of the pictures - that memory is void other then knowing I took the picture.

This one is at least cheerful...I have a pod of Sea Otters that swim off my boat launch and they didn't mind me floating along with them. I did find the song that went with it "Float On" by Modest Mouse. It's a warm tune and this lookslike it was a warm memory, so here you go. Float on my friends...love you all.

I have a wonderful friend who I treasure more then my own self. I say that because despite all odds against them they have fought a helluva demon that still likes to taunt and try to drag them back into Hell. The same demon took my Dad from me...

Each time I see or talk to them, I feel blessed for I never know if I might not see them again...or used to...they fight harder now and the Demon's taunts and seductions get quieter for them...I don't worry as much as I used to.

They aren't who they were now. They are much better. They are stronger.

They will win.

Somehow though, when I talk to them, they give me the vibe that listening to Janis Joplin does. They come from the same part of the world, so you never know - maybe Janis came back.

To the pretty ginger who crinkles her nose so cutely and tells me of travels far and wide...I love you in ways that words can't describe...and I hope..so hope..you heard Janis for that song the way I do and never ever will be the "Little Girl Blue" anymore...

Cynthia? When we started dating, you showed me such compassion and caring. You helped me break the memories of the bitch who I thought had broken me forever.

You made me feel wanted.

I love being around you, being in your arms, being in the funnest places, being on your boat...but most importantly: Being a Girlfriend with you.

When things went so dark again, you took such loving time to stay in touch and always kept me feeling desired and cared for.

I love every time we go out or every time we stay in.

I am glad I get to go OUT with you and am not stuck to a phone being a damn trucker's wife for that is no life.

Panda...the reddest red Panda of them all in SL, is becoming a most wonderful friend. Tonight we took "Divine Memory" to Siren's cove just to....float...and talk...and smile.... lots of smiles!

She is so bright, kind, caring and cheery. Also taken - but in the best of ways, so that makes me happy. It is nice to be friends.

It was also nice to get Divine out and bust a bad memory up while piloting her. I am moved way past Becca now. I am glad she will never be back in my life - or on my damn boat again! ;-)

Panda has listened to the saga and offers a cute elf ear to hear me always and not just to stories about bad exes, but other things in my life. I find I enjoy leaving audio clips for her in Discord to hear as I hope to make her smile. It usually works ;-)

Everyone likes a good story after all and "Flotsam and Jetsam" tonight were definitely writing a new chapter in their friendship. Thank you for being my friend Panda. I look forward to more adventures with you :-)

I have a couple lovely little sailboats in Second Life that I adore. I love sailing in world. I used to do it in real life and miss it.

I have had a Loonetta 35 since shortly after mesh was invented and it has been a LOYAL vessel for 7 years.

I'd system crash. The boat would drop anchor and wait for me until I came back. I painted her in my favourite colour - purple, named her the "Sinkaboutit" and took her all over the seas of SL for years.

Last year she began to script error now and then, but a quick reres fixes that. I also bought a Bandit to complement her. She looks amazing with her Spinaker out and at full sail. She seats 10 and does sim crossings with all aboard without problem.

She also sparked love...

My old friend Ember took this pic the day I took her and my ex wife (but good friend) Calara out for a cruise.

They started dating shortly after ;-)

This picture is a good memory of that and the Sinkaboutit herself.

It was lost in early summer with the other 124 Flickr dropped without knowing. I am.pleaaed to post it again, for my purple boat is a lovely little lass with a cute focsle and a tight windlass 😉😎
