A private party celebrating my 1000th overnight in France...

Découcher 1000: In almost 24 years I have had 1000 overnights in France. A personal milestone. On April 12 2025 I reached the the total of 1000. This includes 33 overnights in Bourg-Saint-Maurice and 28 overnights in Marseille. Excluding overnights in Brussels and Germany I have done and still do as well.
This means in total 939 took place in Paris of which by far most of them in Hôtel 25hours Terminus Nord. During the major renovation of Terminus Nord I have slept 22 nights in Hôtel Hor and during the covid period I have slept a few nights in other hotels around Gare du Nord like Ibis and hotel Appia. I estimate the number of overnights in Terminus Nord between 912 and 914.
Counting : I started counting the number of overnights during my first year as a train manager for Thalys. I had 4 overnights and a French colleague was given a bunch of flowers as a treat when he had slept in Amsterdam 100 times in total. For me the great example to start counting them too.
