One of Grosa S.L.'s trucks delivers a heavy duty steel wire cable, made by the Austrian Teufelberger-Redaelli group, and is lifted aboard by one of the ship's own cranes.

The port of Las Palmas is constantly being expanded and modified to meet new demands. One such area, yet to be fully developed, is this section of the
muelle Juan Sebastián Elcano.

In these images the Norwegian offshore construction vessel 'Normand Installer' was in port for maintenance and the replacement of one (or more) heavy duty steel wire cables on reels.
The reels were, in due course, removed from their reels for recycling, and cut up by gas axe, nearby.

Grosa S.L., a specialist, local crane and heavy equipment hire & service provider, was engaged to lift the heavy reels from the ship.

Their mobile crane, a Liebherr LTM 1400.7.1 with a maximum lifting capacity of 400 tons was being rigged in preparation of the reel lifting.
