This native species is common on the west side of the Cascade Range and typically flowers in early spring before leafing out. Its range extends from Northern California to coastal southern Alaska.

Washington series: Dance of the Ents, Olympic National Park.
A typical feature of the Pacific temperate rainforest are old bigleaf maple trees thickly covered in moss. These two reminded me of dancing ents.
Typisch für den gemäßigten Regenwald entland der nordamerikanischen Pazifikküste sind alte, knorrige Ahornbäume, die mit einer dicken Moosschicht überzogen sind.
Diese beiden hier erinnerten mich an tanzende Ents.
