The PV544 was a modernized version of the 1947-1958 PV444.
The PV444 was developed during WWII. The design was inspired by the 1939 Hanomag 1.3 Litre.
The successor PV544 was introduced in Aug. 1958.
The estate version was called Duett or P445 (later P210) and was continued till 1969, four years after the last PV544 passenger car was manufactured.

Restomod PV544 made by Girl Gang Garage. build with a S60 Recharge powertrain, turbocharged and supercharged 2.0-liter engine and electric motor. Interior is also from a S60.

After 15 years off the road work is progressing. The brakes are being rebuilt. Hopefully he will be seen on roadways of South Carolina.soon.
