The final portion of the Kickstarter Dynamite Transformers 40th order arrived - the exclusive "early backer" oversized 5 x 7 Optimus Prime card (I wasn't expecting Megatron on the back; would have rather had stats or a tech spec on Optimus), and a final stretch goal thrown in for backers of a signed Optimus card by Mariano Nicieza. This is the back of those two items.

This is the front of those two items. This wraps up what has been a very disappointing Kickstarter. I would have rather purchased cards at retail and taken my chances. The signed cards and sketch cards I received aren't anything special, and not worth what I paid for them.

I ordered a signed copy of Seth Rudetsky's new "...For Dummies" volume on Musical Theatre, and it just arrived. 11/21/2023 I asked him to write something encouraging to an aspiring musical theatre wannabe in Lincoln, NE. He wrote "Lincoln was one of my first out of town gigs. 1993 I think!" Not exactly "inspiring" but cute, none-the-less.

here's what you get in each pack; I bought 2 packs, and 4 of the 7 cards were duplicates (line art, connecting, and 2 base cards - what a huge disappointment). For the cost, at least give me some damn different cards instead of 4/14 of them being doubles!

All sketch and signed cards; the Jazz isn't my favorite, but based on what I've seen on eBay, I could have done better and I could have done worse with all of them. At least there weren't any character doubles. Signed cards by both Bob Budiansky and Simon Furman; happy to have one from each instead of 2 from the same person.

3 of the 4 sketch cards I received - the Optimus one is my favorite of the bunch, and while not a sketch card, the Optimus signed Bob Budiansky card looks quite nice.

The stretch goals for the campaign ultimately resulted in 8 bonus "vintage claystock" cards as pictured here. They're...nice, but I wish they would have done something with the back for each character instead of just saying "exclusive and rare vintage claystock paper collectible crowdfunding stretch goal card"
