Tower was the Sears house brand for typewriters and other home "technology" like cameras in the 1950s and '60s. This 1960 Tower Tabulator was made by Smith-Corona for Sears. The chrome metal logos on the ribbon cover are a one-year-only detail: I'm sure they were expensive to make, but they look so nice.

Magic-Brain Calculator, purchased from a TV Guide ad in the 1970s. All it does is add and subtract things, but it does it without electricity, mechanically. It came with a stylus, but you can use a pen or pencil tip to slide the geared tabulators. When done, you zero it by pulling the handle at the top.
