Near Dobrinishte vilage
Locomotive 75 006 is just about to pass the entrance pre-signal to the station of Bansko with the late afternoon train from Dobrinishte to Septemvri.
The second modernized narrow gauge locomotive class 77 of BDZ - 77 109 with fast train 1661 is arriving at Varvara station.

The railway station (Avramovo) is the highest point of the Septemvri–Dobrinishte narrow-gauge line. 1267 m/4.156 ft
Or currently designated as BDZ 75 008, this 760-mm diesel worker is the latest to be overhauled and repainted at its home depot in Septemvri in July 2023.

The completely renewed locomotive 77 002 by Express Service is already on duty on the Rhodope narrow gauge line! We have waited to see the locomotive in operation for quite a long time. It was ready and transferred in Septemvri depot in March 2022, but due to some administrative hiccups, its commissioning was delayed quite a bit. After all, about a month ago, the locomotive was put into operation, with a new number - 77 102, and since then it has been tirelessly and without any problems serving trains on the narrow gauge. The modernization of the locomotive which has been manufactured in Romania in the 80s was carried out by the Express Service workshop in Ruse, Bulgaria. In practice, only the frame and bogies are used from the old locomotive. Cabs and the body shells were removed and re-build using brand new materials. The loco is equipped with electronic controls and also with a brand new Caterpilar diesel engine with EU stage 5 standard.

Recently renovated 77002-4
Diesel locomotive 55 212 of Express Service with train 20694, carrying the modernized narrow gauge loco 77 002 towards Septemvri (24.03.2022).
77 002 was one of the two locomotives class 77 intended for modernization. The modernization was carried out in Express Service workshop in Ruse. The loco was completely renovated. Only the frame and the boogies were used from the old locomotive. Cabs and the body shells were removed and re-build using brand new materials. The loco is equipped with electronic controls and also with a brand new Caterpilar diesel engine with EU stage V standard. The standard red livery with white stripes was retained. The place of 77 002 in the workshop was immediately taken by 77 009, which will be modernized by the same way.
