I took pics of "Osechi Dishes" before eating.
Osechi-ryori(Osechi dishes) are traditional Japanese New Year foods. Osechi are easily recognized by their special boxes called jubako, which resemble bento boxes. Like bento boxes, jubako are often kept stacked before and after use (by wiki).

Gion Matsuri in Kyoto is one of the most famous festivals in Japan. There are many traditional events, from the beginning to the end of July. This picture was taken at one of the subsidiary events.
