While gardening this weekend for the first time this season, I accidentally snapped 2 new flowers from their stems. Spring is very cold and short in Maine and each flower is important, believe me. I thought I would at least perpetuate their efforts to bloom, by taking a picture and post it here until they get lost and forgotten (now in the virtual world).
I know this is how it feels sometimes, my creative brothers and sisters. Whether you're trying to make your way writing, taking photographs, acting, painting, singing, or whatever... it's hard to look ahead and feel those doubts, to wonder if you're really on track.
But if you believe in yourself, you'll know you've got to keep moving forward. It is a daily leap of faith, and it takes some courage.
Just remember, you're not alone in this struggle.
In the end, we must realize that the only way to acheive our dreams is to take that chance and to live fearlessly. You can't stand outside that door. You gotta go bustin' in.
