A typical view of the salt plant in the island of Bonaire in the Dutch Antilles in late afternoon. The mountains of salt can be seen from miles in the south of the island. In this picture, some mountains of tons of salt ready for shipment, as well as the crane that forms the mountains of salt.

Wind is so strong and constant on the east side of the island that they built a wind farm to generate electricity for the island.
