Three Deer graze in Phoenix Park, Dublin. Taken with the Sigma 135mm Art lens and edited in Lightroom.
My Blog about Phoenix Park in Dublin
I won't deny that as I walked around Cook’s Meadow, I almost missed seeing this reflection off the pond waters. It was only later when I started to process the image that I even noticed the deer grazing off in the distance. All in all it just seemed that perfect serene…wildness of nature that one might not even notice because one was in a hurry to go from one point to another. All the beauty of nature was right there in front of you if you just turned and looked around! I'm glad I turned around and looked :-)
Someone planted these two metal pieces of art. Deer are safe in the park as no hunting is allowed. The park (29 acres ?) is two blocks south of the intersection of Fuerte Drive and Damon Lane, Mt. Helix area of San Diego. It even has a year 'round creek running through the southern/central part of the park.
These deer are in the northwestern part of the park (south side of the trail. There are three east/west trails in the northern part. This is the middle of those three trails.
Looks like the deer know the state park is a sanctuary for them. I'm surprised the mountain lions haven't gotten involved here. I volunteer in the neighboring national forest and whenever I see a deer there I shout to it to head for the state park. This was about 8 a.m. This photo was taken from inside my car on state highway California 79. This 90 degree curve in the road is just one mile south of the Cuyamaca Lake Store.
