The Walker County Garden is on the route from our house to our 43 acres and it provides me with sheer joy. Just walking around that garden and seeing the vibrant flowers, bees, birds, and butterflies refreshes my spirit.
We are however , going the distance, as today we started our trip to Yellowstone. It's been gorgeous thus far!
Just one of a number of beautiful buildings in Wadenhoe. This small estate village includes the substatial Wadenhoe House not far from the building pictured here. Wadenhoe House was formerly the home of a British Government Chancellor of the Exchequer who forgot his red dispatch case. Apparently, that's why Chancellors to this day hold up their beat-up red case to the press in front of number 11 Downing Street.
