This surprising sign decorates a wall beside a road in the Labadi Apapa area of Accra. One woman said to me "It is nice, isn't it", I guess in reference to the relative neatness of the paintwork, compared to the "stressed" look of most other structures in Accra. I asked another passer-by what this meant, as Ghana had won its freedom from British rule over 50 years ago. He explained that these political leaders provided an example of democracy to Ghana and other African nations. Mmmm. I guess everything is relative.
