It was a lovely day for a visit to Pitt Lake despite the fact it feels like Summer switched off overnight around here :-(

I usually don't do a lot of Photoshop'ing of these photos (aside from fixing stitching errors), but I really hated that I couldn't crop out the car on the right, so I added a little bit of the gauze.

There's a very pleasant walk by the River Nene between Wadenhoe and Achurch, the path continuing through woodland called The Linches to rejoin the public road system. On this July day there was a strong but warm wind blowing, as evidenced by the leafy Willow tree.

While dining at my favorite Houston restaurant, the Backstreet Cafe, these two beautiful young women were lovely enough to allow me to photograph them having a cocktail. Love these smiles!

And I loved the idea that Betty Amy, Jerry, and Hadley all encouraged me to ask strangers for a photo!
