Elm Hill area, Norwich. St Peter Hungate is grade 1 listed, the church was decommisioned in 1936 (when it became the first church to be repurposed) and was transformed into a museum, grade 1 listed, it is dated 1406. Elm Hill is the most complete street from old Norwich. It is mentioned as far back as 1200, and many of the buildings are Tudor, dating from a rebuild following a major fire in 1507, but some incorporate earlier parts. It was nearly demolished in a 'slum clearance' attempt in 1926, but was spared and gradually restored by the City Council, after intervention by the Norwich Society.

Elm Hill area, Norwich. The Briton's Arms is oldest surviving dwelling, it is grade 2* listed and dates from the early C15th. Elm Hill is the most complete street from old Norwich.
