10th February is a public holiday in Malta to mark the Feast of St Paul's Shipwreck when the Apostle Paul was shipwrecked on the island. A televised mass attended by the Maltese President and other dignitaries is held inside the Church of St Paul's Shipwreck which dates from the 16th century.
People seemed to be coming and going throughout the service so just took a few pictures then left.
One of the nice things about Valletta is that it hasn't been completely taken over by hotels and holiday apartments and it still feels like a lived in city.
The red and gold banner hanging on the balcony behind the clothes is to mark the Feast of St Paul's Shipwreck which is held annually on 10th February.
