The common English name for Nomada flava is Flavous Nomad Bee. It's also sometimes referred to as a cuckoo bee, as it parasitizes the nests of other bees.
The illustration shows a flavous nomad bee lurking at the entrance to a nest of a sand bee, Andrena spec., probably waiting for a favorable opportunity to lay its own egg.
