The mountain natives are also made up of these creatures.
In summer they stay up high away from humans, up there where the mountains end. In autumn they descend in altitude, feel the arrival of the cold season and become less bothered by encounters with the few humans who frequent the mountains, giving good feelings and many photos.
This female noticed my arrival late because she was kneeling on her front legs to make less effort to graze the grass, but she allowed herself to be photographed by remaining quiet.
Il popolo delle montagne è fatto anche di queste creature.
In estate stanno in alto lontano dagli umani, lassù dove le montagne finiscono.
Qui ero quasi arrivato al casotto del guardiaparco al Lauson sopra Valnontey. Questa femmina si è accorta tardi del mio arrivo perchè era inginocchiata sulle zampe anteriori per fare meno fatica a brucare l'erba, ma si è lasciata fotografare rimanendo tranquilla.
Sembrerebbe in avanzata gravidanza, ma potrebbe anche essere un esemplare anziano. Propendo per questa ultima ipotesi, tutte le femmine incontrate quel giorno avevano con se un cucciolo, questa no.

This ibex with his gaze seemed to ask me this question. I paid attention to him and some chamois, all afternoon, when the shadow and frost descended on Valgrisenche.
He is the symbol of the Gran Paradiso National Park, and it's only right to start with him.

Questo stambecco col suo sguardo sembra pormi questa domanda. Ho seguito lui e dei camosci, per tutto il pomeriggio, quando l'ombra e il gelo sono scesi sulla Valgrisenche; e per la prima volta ho visto uno stambecco abbeverarsi lungo il corso della Dora del Nivolet.
Lui è il simbolo del Parco nazionale del Gran Paradiso, doveroso cominciare da lui.
