The train is crossing over the rebuilt right of way badly damaged by severe storms and flooding. The train was once known as "The Great White" due to its predominantly white locomotives and rolling stock. These days, it's almost "The Great Grey" with the effects of a new grey colour scheme plus the ravages of graffiti and desert dust.
