As winter approaches, this hare is gradually changing its colors from brown to white..Not the best shot in the world but I thought the coloring was really interesting

A young Tri-colored Heron searches the shallow waters of the mud flats on Horsepen Bayou. The feather colors are making the transition from the juvenile gray and Indian red color to the mostly gray colors of adulthood. There are some white and mauve tones in the adult feathers, and you can chem them out in the photos included in the first comment box.

Whelp! The other collar came off, but Vashta is doing better. I am getting more play time, and am slowly transitioning to timed feeding, plus I found some wet food that she likes on the first try! Tiki Cat! Who knew?
