SPA: El traro es una especie que combina el instinto cazador de un águila y los hábitos carroñeros de un buitre, siendo oportunista en aprovechar los recursos alimenticios del lugar que habita. En Chile se encuentra desde Arica a Isla Navarino, siendo menos frecuente desde el centro hacia el norte del país.
ENG: The Crested Caracara is a species that combines the hunting instinct of an eagle and the scavenging habits of a vulture, being opportunistic in taking advantage of the food resources of the place it inhabits. In Chile it is found from Arica to Isla Navarino, being less frequent from the center to the north of the country.
