What a fabulous surprise Lotty and I had on our walk this evening....I saw what I first thought was another dog in 'our' field - as we got closer I could see it was a Fox!! I got Lotty back on the lead and we walked even closer, the fox just stood watching us - typically I only had my 18-55vr lens, I so wish I'd had my zoom lens - anyway, I took a few photos before the fox turned around and ran into the woods - what a lovely sight it was - this is a huge crop, but you can see how it just stood and stared at us.....#30DaysWild
The woods near me were amazing this year, the colours have been wonderful...
I hope to keep up with posting and commenting a bit more, just not enough hours in the day!! - I miss my flickr time....though not sure how much time I will spend here, this being a very busy time in work an all that....Nativity time yippee !!
Took Lotty for her walk up the lane to the fields and for the first time ever, I spotted these caterpillars, in all the years I have been walking here I have never seen these here, always lots of burnet moth caterpillars but this was a first for me, really nice to see them. The only other time I've ever seen them was in Broad Haven a couple of weeks ago.
taken with my little canon camera
Had a lovely walk in the woods last night with two flickr friends.
I was just doing tea when a knock at the door stopped me in my tracks - coat on, camera in bag and off I went, I didn't need much persuading to go....think Lesley and Tracy enjoyed the grand tour.
I'll catch up commenting later this evening....
Taken on our walk in the sunshine on May day Bank holiday - yes I know, you don't normally see those words in the same sentence 'sunshine' and 'bank holiday' but it's true.....all change again now though, rain, cold and wind forecast for today......
btw there was a fence between us.
looks nice on black
It rained most of the morning but by lunch time the sun was out - I'd put a lovely stew in the slow cooker and Jack and I were off.....went for a lovely walk, mind you it was really windy.
Did a loop around Rhiwbina hill and back, about 2 hours, so not too far today....
On the way back through our woods I spotted my first bluebell of the season.....very early !!
There were quite a few open, though it will be a long while until we get those beautiful blue carpets.
I had a chance to get out in the woods this afternoon - Jack and I went out for a walk late this afternoon, it was nice to get some fresh air.....
We saw lots of fungus but mostly chewed up and well past it - this caught my eye growing on a rotting tree among some ivy - I'm pretty sure it's velvet shank, looks a lot like the picture in my book....
SOOC with my nifty fifty and a +4 macro diopter.
