Granules of kosher salt. At 5X magnification I should really focus stack this.

Today Amber had to have the second part of her Leptospirosis vaccination so we met Tony at Hurstmonceaux Church a bit later then usual to walk the Pevensey Levels. The weather was fine with a breeze but as always the levels didn't disappoint and we had another really great day with as always some interesting sightings the first images for me this year of the damselfly and the Orange-tip also the Yellow Wagtail which on checking my books looks to me like the flavissima variation. So 15 images from a really busy walk.

Busy and difficult work day. So glad for it to be over and the weekend to begin. We had a nice easy dinner (leftovers from the delicious chickeny noodley thing Tim cooked last night) and a very closely matched game of Scrabble. I only won because Tim had a V left in his rack when I'd played my last letter, gifting me a few extra points.
Chatting to my friend Kate on Messenger early this morning (plotting a trip to Scotland in the summer) and sharing updates on various housey bits - which is why I took this photo - to show her the cork flooring we're considering for our bedroom. Chatting to her was a nice distraction from stressful work stuff - but had a good meeting in the afternoon which resolved some of that.
Tim took over feeling stressed in the evening - all the house stuff (especially the unresolved damp problem) is weighing him down. We came up with a plan of action (including getting a proper damp survey as a starting point), and cracked open the Christmas brandy.
I completely failed to take any photos today - shock horror - but then I remembered that my trail camera had been snapping away at all the birds, so I figured that still counts. Thanks, trail cam.
Slightly calmer day at work, though still a bit tense. It seems I'm not the only one dealing with difficult things and feeling disaffected - I've spoken to a few others feeling very much the same.
